Red's HVAC Services Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions outline your use of the services provided by REDS HVAC SERVICES, LLC (Red's), a mechanical contractor located in Arizona. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of Work

All estimates describe the work to be performed. Only the items listed in the written scope are included. Any additional labor, materials, or changes requested by the customer or required due to unforeseen conditions will be priced separately.

Because HVAC systems, utilities, and building infrastructure often have hidden conditions, Red's is responsible only for the work directly connected to the equipment being serviced or installed. Pre-existing deficiencies, including issues with ductwork, line sets, drains, thermostats, electrical, or gas piping, may require corrective action before equipment can operate properly. Necessary corrective actions will be communicated and must be approved before work proceeds.

2. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work. We accept cash, card, or check. A 50% deposit is required for any repair or installation that requires a return visit; the remaining balance is collected after the scope of work is completed.

If site conditions prevent work from being completed as scheduled (lack of access, unsafe conditions, or concealed issues), additional labor or return visits may be billed separately.

3. Financing

Financing is available through our third-party partners. Approval, terms, and conditions are controlled solely by the financing provider. Please review all financing agreements carefully before signing.

4. Cancellations

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule. A service fee may apply for missed appointments. An adult over 18 must be present during the entire appointment.

5. Warranties

Red's provides a 2-year workmanship warranty and a 90-day labor warranty unless written otherwise. Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and equipment as provided by the manufacturer.

Warranty coverage will be voided under certain circumstances:

- Neglect, misuse, or improper operation

- Third-party repairs or alterations

- Pre-existing issues not corrected at time of service

- Lack of routine maintenance

To maintain warranty eligibility, each system must receive at least one maintenance visit per calendar year performed by an authorized technician.

6. Obligations & Limitations

Red's DOES NOT guarantee:

- The repair of one component will restore full system functionality, as additional failures may only become apparent after the initial repair

- Specific life expectancy on parts or equipment

- Reductions in utility bills or operating costs

- Specific performance outcomes beyond manufacturer ratings

- Specific noise levels, vibration levels, or sound characteristics of any equipment

- Compatibility of equipment with customer-supplied thermostats or other devices

Red's DOES guarantee:

- All work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner as required by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors

- Installations will meet the minimum standards required by applicable building codes and manufacturer installation instructions

- Systems will be started, tested, and verified for basic operation at the time of installation

- All work performed will match the written scope of work

7. Exclusions

The following items are excluded from any estimate, proposal, or scope of work unless explicitly stated otherwise:

- All lead times, supplier/manufacturer delays, and any additional or unexpected shipping, handling, or rush-delivery costs

- Pre-existing conditions or deficiencies related to line sets, ductwork, low-voltage wiring, thermostats, drain lines, or gas piping, including the need for repairs, upsizing, rerouting, or replacement beyond the immediate equipment connection

- Any drywall, stucco, roofing, or cosmetic repairs; structural modifications or carpentry; access-related modifications (fences, vegetation, attic clearance, roof access); hazardous material remediation (asbestos, mold, microbial growth)

- Correction of existing code violations not caused by our work

- Electrical work beyond the appliance disconnect

- Permits, engineering, or third-party testing

- Crane, lift, or other special equipment fees unless specifically listed

- Copper condensate piping

- Water damage mitigation or repairs resulting from pre-existing leaks

8. Limitation of Responsibility

Work in attics, rooftops, tight spaces, or aging structures carries unavoidable risk. While Red's takes care to minimize disruption, incidental damage (such as scuffed drywall, disturbed insulation, or roofing granule loss) may occur during normal access. Reasonable claims will be reviewed and handled on a case-by-case basis.

9. Preliminary Notices & Lien Rights

For certain projects, Arizona law requires contractors to send a 20-Day Preliminary Notice in order to preserve potential mechanics lien rights. Red’s may send this notice on installation projects or any job where permitted by statute.

A preliminary notice is not a lien and does not mean a lien will be filed. It is simply a standard communication required under Arizona law on many trade-related projects.

If payment is made according to the agreed-upon terms, no lien will ever be recorded.
