Please review this agreement carefully. By accepting this estimate or signing this contract, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with Newshades Pressure Washing Service, LLC (Newshades PWS) for work to be completed at the agreed-upon price.
1. Communication and Access
Contact: We communicate via text, email, and phone. Please be available via one of these methods on your scheduled day if you are not on the property.
Arrival: Our trucks are equipped with GPS tracking. You will receive a notification when we are enroute, when we arrive on your property, and when the work is completed.
Authorization: By accepting this agreement, you grant Newshades PWS permission to be on the property for the purpose of performing the services listed in the estimate.
2. Payment, Late Fees, and Legal Collection
Due Date: All balances are due upon completion of the job.
Methods: We accept Cash or Check.
Electronic Payments: ACH, Google Pay, and Credit/Debit cards are accepted via the invoice link. A 5% processing fee will be added to these transactions.
Late Fees: Payments not received on the day of completion are subject to a $10 per day late fee. Accounts unpaid after 30 days are subject to an additional 15% late fee on the total balance.
Collection and Legal Fees: In the event that Newshades PWS must pursue legal action or hire a collection agency to recover unpaid balances, the customer agrees to be responsible for all costs of collection. This includes, but is not limited to, reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, filing fees, and collection agency commissions.
Contract Breach: If this contract is broken by the client, all deposits shall be surrendered to Newshades PWS as liquidated damages.
3. General Property Preparation & Requirements
Water Usage: You agree to provide Newshades PWS the right to use an on-site water supply as needed without compensation. If no on-site water is available and an exterior supply must be brought in, an additional charge will apply.
Electrical: The property must be in good repair and "weather-tight." This includes functional, sealed exterior electrical receptacles and light fixtures.
Safety: You are responsible for keeping children, pets, and other individuals away from the work area while Newshades PWS is on-site.
Vehicles: Newshades PWS is not responsible for damage to vehicles (Cars, RVs, Boats, etc.) inside the work zone. Please move all vehicles out of the driveway/work area. We require at least two car lengths of space in front of the property for our truck and trailer.
Personal Property: Removal and replacement of grills, furniture, planters, or deck items are the homeowner's responsibility. If we must move these items, we assume no liability for damage or breakage, and additional labor charges may apply.
4. Service-Specific Terms
Exterior Cleaning (Pressure/Soft Wash, Roof, Gutter, Concrete)
Standard Risks: We are not responsible for leaks due to faulty seals on doors/windows or pre-existing damages.
Siding & Oxidation: Power washing may reveal "oxidation" (fading/chalkiness) caused by sun and weather. Removing surface dirt may make this fading more noticeable; Newshades PWS is not responsible for these conditions.
Stains: Some stains (rust, artillery fungus, oil, deep stains) may not be removable by conventional means. We do not guarantee 100% removal of such materials.
Roof/Gutters: We are not responsible for leaks caused by loose shingles, improperly installed gutters, or defective construction.
Windows, Tinting, and Screens
Condition: We are not responsible for "thermal shock" or glass breakage on pre-existing damaged windows.
Wood Cleaning and Staining
Condition of Wood: Cleaning and stripping wood may reveal pre-existing damage, wood rot, or deep-seated organic growth that has compromised the wood fibers. Newshades PWS is not responsible for the structural integrity of the wood.
Furring: Some "furring" (raised wood grain/fuzzing) is a natural side effect of cleaning weathered wood. While we use professional techniques to minimize this, some light sanding by the homeowner may be required if a perfectly smooth finish is desired.
Staining & Weather: Staining requires specific moisture levels in the wood and a dry weather window. If we need to reschedule due to rain or high humidity to ensure the quality of the stain, we will let you know as soon as possible.
Drying Time: After staining, the surface must remain free of foot traffic, pets, and water (sprinklers) for at least 24–48 hours (or as specified by our technicians). Newshades PWS is not responsible for damage to the finish caused by premature use or unexpected weather events once the service is complete.
Tinting: Window tinting requires a curing period. Do not roll down windows or clean tinted surfaces for the timeframe specified at installation.
Screens: We are not responsible for the brittle nature of aged screens that may tear or break during removal or cleaning.
Indoor Tile and Concrete Cleaning
Homeowners must ensure adequate ventilation and clear the work area of all fragile items. We are not responsible for water migration into subflooring if the grout or sealant is pre-existing and failing.
Solar Panel Cleaning
Cleaning is performed using manufacturer-approved methods (deionized water/soft brushes). We are not responsible for pre-existing micro-cracks or electrical faults within the solar array.
Pool Cleaning and Maintenance
Our service is limited to the scope defined in the estimate. We are not responsible for equipment failure due to age or chemistry imbalances caused by external factors (heavy rain, excessive bather load) between scheduled visits.
Holiday Lighting (Sales, Installation, & Removal)
Electrical: The homeowner must provide a functioning GFI outlet. We are not responsible for tripped breakers or inadequate power supply.
Maintenance: We provide maintenance for our installed lights during the season. We are not responsible for damage caused by extreme weather, animals (squirrels chewing wires), or vandalism.
Storage: If we provide storage, lights will be kept in a climate-controlled environment. Newshades PWS is not responsible for manufacturer defects in bulbs or wires over time.
5. Liability and Warranties
Warranties: All warranties are limited to those offered by the manufacturers of the products used (e.g., window tint, Christmas lights, stains). Newshades PWS makes no additional warranties.
Insurance: Newshades Pressure Washing Service, LLC is fully insured.
Media Release: You agree to allow Newshades PWS to take photos/videos of the work for proof of service, legal records, or advertisement purposes.
