Budget Hood & Equipment Terms & Conditions

By accepting the terms of this document, Budget Hood & Equipment will perform the services as described. Any additional work not covered in this document may incur additional charges.

Budget Hood & Equipment is a locally owned and operated small business and has been serving South Florida for over 14 years. We are licensed, and insured and our employees are professionally trained and vetted.

By hiring Budget Hood & Equipment you agree to be the party responsible for full payment, communication, and complying with all policies outlined in this agreement. Third-party involvement is not recognized by Budget Hood & Equipment.

Communicate with us

-If you have any questions or concerns about your cleaning service, please call or text our office at (772) 292-7800. We have a dedicated office staff ready to assist you who will make every reasonable effort to provide you with a highly professional cleaning service. One way you can help us provide you with a top-quality service is through your ongoing feedback. Please let us know how we are doing. Reviews are always welcomed.

Getting your kitchen ready

-Please remove all pots, pans, and cooking supplies from under the kitchen exhaust hood system and surrounding areas.
-Please remove all floor mats that are positioned immediately near the kitchen exhaust hood system.
-Please notify your staff of the day/time we will be arriving so there aren’t any surprises and everyone is prepared.
-Please ensure that all of your cooking equipment is turned off and cooling down before we enter the kitchen.
-Please ensure that the main gas line is turned off. Budget Hood & Equipment will not be held responsible for any damage or issues caused by gas leaks.
-If there will be kitchen staff present in the surrounding areas while we clean, please provide them with an N95 mask to be worn at all times.
-Please ensure that all food items are properly covered and stored. Budget Hood & Equipment will not be held responsible for any contamination or spilled food items.

Protecting Your Equipment and Additional Items

-Budget Hood & Equipment utilizes a lot of water which is sometimes pressurized to effectively clean surfaces. We make every effort to cover and protect your equipment and additional items but accidents do happen. As such, you agree to hold harmless and release from liability Budget Hood & Equipment and any of its employees responsible for any damage or breakage to any equipment, filters, article, or component.
-In the event a replacement or repair is required, an identical replacement will be attempted but not guaranteed.
-Damage must be reported to our office staff by phone or email within 2 business days of service or Budget Hood & Equipment may not be held liable.
-Budget Hood & Equipment cannot be responsible for damage due to faulty and/or improper installation, lack of maintenance, or general wear and tear of any equipment or items.
-Fire Suppression Systems. If there is any discharge of the fire suppression system Budget Hood & Equipment cannot be held fully responsible due to the nature of the cleaning service that is required. In the event that the fire suppression system is triggered, we will only cover 50% of the costs associated with cleanup and recharging the fire suppression system. The customer will be responsible for securing the necessary vendors for cleanup and recharge. Budget Hood & Equipment shall not be held liable for any loss of sales in any event.
-Electrical Outlets. Please ensure that all electrical outlets underneath or in close proximity to the kitchen exhaust hood system are waterproofed by a licensed electrician. If outlets are not waterproof, we will attempt to protect these outlets as best as we can but will not be held responsible for any damages to electrical outlets and devices or for any fire damage caused. It is the customer's responsibility to protect all electrical outlets from water damage.
-Oil in Fryers. We will attempt to protect the oil in fryers as best as we can but will not be held responsible for any contamination of the oil caused by water or any degreasers we use.

Accessing Your Kitchen After Hours

- By providing a unique door code, a key, a remote lock access or a lockbox code for us to enter after hours, a fee will be charged if we are unable to access your kitchen.
- If we are unable to access the kitchen after 15 minutes past the scheduled arrival time, a fee may be charged and/or the job may be canceled and will need to be rescheduled for another time.
-Turn off alarm systems. If you choose to leave the alarm armed, we are always diligent and careful to disarm and rearm the alarm according to your instructions. However, we will not be held responsible for false alarms or misuse of the alarm system, including charges from a local police department or security company or other charges related to an activated alarm. No exceptions. Additionally, you agree to hold harmless and release from liability Budget Hood & Equipment from any and all liability relating to any failure of the alarm or not arming the alarm properly.
-Locking up. As a courtesy, we will close the door behind us on our way out as instructed by the customer. However, Budget Hood & Equipment will not be held responsible for any unauthorized person entering your premises. Additionally, you agree to hold harmless and release from liability Budget Hood & Equipment from any and all liability relating to any failure of the door/locks or not locking the door properly.
Budget Hood & Equipment will not be held responsible for turning off any lights. As a courtesy, we may turn off the lights under the kitchen exhaust system.

Protecting Our Cleaning Technicians

-Cleaning technicians will not climb on roofs higher than 20ft without roof access. Any exhaust fans situated on a roof higher than 20ft without roof access will not be cleaned.
-We ask that you refrain from smoking cigarettes, marijuana, or any other substances near the surrounding areas when technicians are present.
-We prioritize the safety of our staff. In extreme weather, we’ll reschedule your cleaning (if necessary).

Scheduling Other Service Providers

-Due to safety and security considerations, please do not schedule other service providers when we are scheduled to clean if you are not present to supervise them. Budget Hood & Equipment will not let anyone into your kitchen.
-We will not be responsible for any re-cleaning if another service provider is present when we clean. Customer activities or the activities of other service providers that result in a request to re-clean an area the tech has already cleaned will result in additional fees.

Estimates

-Over-the-phone estimates are given based on the information given by the customer. Should the conditions be dirtier or the exhaust system is larger than indicated, additional charges may be applied.
-If you request changes to your service after receiving your original estimate, additional charges may be billed or a new estimate may be required.
-We may decline the job if our crew arrives at the job and discovers that it requires a level of cleaning that we are not able to provide. In this instance, we will contact you and there may be a service call charge.

Paying for Services

-Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed.
-Check, cash, Visa/Mastercard, ACH, and Zelle are all acceptable forms of payment. A 2.99% convenience fee will be charged when paying by card and 1% when paying by ACH.
-A $40 fee will be added to all NSF (Insufficient Funds) checks and declined cards.
-Prices are subject to change without notice.
-Past due invoices may be subject to a late fee of $50, plus 12% monthly interest on overdue amounts.
-A tip is neither expected nor required. It is completely optional and at your discretion. You will also have the option to add a tip when paying your invoice that will be emailed and/or texted to you. You can also add a permanent tip as a line item to your invoice. You just need to let our office staff know.

Cancellations

-We require at least 48 hours written notice for reschedules or cancellations.
-Cancellation of service whether temporarily, permanently, or reducing the frequency of your cleaning cadence, requires a 48-hour written notice.
-Cancellation fees may apply for late cancellations, no-shows, or last-minute changes.
-For all company-initiated schedule changes due to holidays or extreme weather conditions, we will make every attempt to reschedule as close to your regularly scheduled cleaning date as possible.

Miscellaneous

-We do not polish the back of the kitchen exhaust system hood unless otherwise instructed.
-Budget Hood & Equipment are only able to clean accessible areas. Inaccessible areas and areas that compromise the safety of our employees will not be cleaned.
-The exhaust fan must have a hinge so we can open and clean the duct. If the exhaust fan does not have a hinge or it is unable to be open for whatever reason, the duct is considered inaccessible and will not be cleaned.
-We take before and after photos of our work. These pictures are used for training, proof of performance as well as promotion. See our website before and after for examples. If you do not want pictures taken of work areas in your kitchen please notify us when you schedule your cleaning.
-A verbal agreement to begin service indicates acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
